Submissions FAQ:

Why submit a project?
Submit your project to Informed by Nature.org’s “Give” fundraising page and get exposure, get funded, and get going. Informed by Nature will help you promote it--we promote projects alongside our normal non-profit activities. Tell your friends to donate to your project through our site and Informed by Nature will chip in donations, too, helping you raise last little bit you need to get things off the ground. The more visitors to our website, the more we’re able to chip in. Then, launch your project and keep us updated. We want to tell everyone about your success.

What do I need to apply?
Your organization must be a registered 501(c)3 non-profit to submit a project. You’ll need the following materials for your application:
    •    organization mission statement
    •    2 page max project summary
    •    project budget
    •    name, address, email of project manager and team members

What kind of projects are we looking for?
Have a new exhibit, conference, website, tool, or community activity that needs funding? We want to help. Informed by Nature chooses well-planned projects aligned with our mission statement to be featured on the “Give” fundraising page of our website. We love science and discovery, science outreach, technology, the magnificence of nature, and rigorously applied reason and objectivity, and we want to cooperate to help change the image of science in society and dramatically increase the public understanding of science. Are you in?

Is there a submission deadline?
No. Project acceptance is ongoing.

What happens after I submit?
After you receive a confirmation email, allow 2 months for Informed by Nature to review your project and decide to approve or deny. You will get an email notice of your project’s approval or denial.

What happens after I get approved?

Celebrate! Then get to work. A welcome email will provide you with instructions on how to upload and update your project on our site.

What can I do to help get my project funded?

Tell everyone you know. Email your members, friends, family, and advertise on your shop door. Invite everyone to visit your project’s web page and contribute. Make sure they know--the more people contribute, the more likely we can chip in and donate.
